Drawing

I've struggled with the technical side of creating the film..i wanted to draw the structure to scale so it would overlap the footage seemlessly.

At one of the tutorials a few of the suggestions were to project a photograph of the ravine onto a screen and then film myself drawing over it..however i only want my hand in the film and for it to look like the drawings freehand.
Instead of freehand ive had to retrace an original image for accuracy of the structure..and filmed the process so it could be edited and sped up etc

I used tracing paper layered over an A1 piece of architectual grided paper- imperial scale
..to create the affect of blueprint paper..then using a lightbox placed the grided paper over the top and filmed myself redrawing the image.

It worked well, although the video wasnt as sharp as id intended and drawing could have been smoother...i had mulitple attempts to improve this but this was the best i could create. I then encorporated the shots into the premiere pro video, along with clips from the site.
